Fourth seed Martin Landaluce will face Nikolai Budkov Kjaer in the group stage of the Next Gen ATP Finals 2025.

Landaluce made his Major debut at this year's Australian Open, coming through the qualifying rounds before falling to James McCabe in the first round. He participated in the Madrid Open and the Gstaad Open as well, and left without a win on each occasion.

Landaluce registered his first win at the ATP level this year in Cincinnati. He successfully qualified for the tournament and then staged a comeback to beat Patrick Kypson in the first round. He was shown the door by Alexei Popyin in the next round. He won his only title of the season at the Orleans Challenger in September, and peaked at No. 110 in the rankings in October.

Budkov Kjaer made his ATP debut at the Bastad Open this year. He made a winning debut on the main tour, beating Thiago Monteiro for his first career win. He lost in the second round to Sebastian Baez after that. He was also in the main draw of the ATP events in Stockholm and Vienna but failed to win a match at both venues.

However, Budkov Kjaer killed it on the Challenger circuit this year. He captured his maiden title in Glasgow in February, and won three more over the course of the season. He started the year ranked outside the top 500, and has since peaked at No. 132.
