Tennis remains a highly lucrative sport, with the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner raking in the big bucks. Their peers aren't far behind them, with their fellow top 10 cohorts also reaping in the financial benefits of the sport.
The prize money in tennis has only increased with every passing season. Players had the opportunity to walk away with a $5 million winner's check twice this year, at the US Open and the ATP Finals. Consistency directly co-relates to more prize money. Thus, players in the top 10 are the ones who make the most. Here's a look at how much they made in 2025 compared to 2024.
Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Alex de Minaur, Alexander Zverev, and Taylor Fritz are the only players to finish within the top 10 of the rankings in 2024 and 2025. All six of them were also among the tour's highest earners last year, and have repeated the feat this year as well.
Sinner was the top money maker on the tour in 2024 as well as 2025. He made $19.7 million in 2024 on the back of his victories at the Australian Open and the US Open, as well as at the ATP Finals and five other tournaments. He won six titles from 10 finals in 2025, which led to a haul of $19.1 million.
Sinner could've potentially crossed the $20 million mark this year but he wasn't eligible for the bonus pool this time on account of missing multiple Masters 1000 tournaments. However, that wasn't on his own accord. He received a three-month ban stemming from his doping violations last year.
Alcaraz earned $10.3 million in 2024, putting him in third place. He nearly doubled his tally in 2025, with his $18.8 million haul putting him in second place this year. A career-best season in 2025 saw the World No. 1 claiming eight titles from 11 finals, thus leading to a significant increase in prize money.
Zverev's $11.5 million tally put him second to Sinner in terms of prize money in 2024. He could only muster $6 million in 2025. He won a couple of Masters 1000 titles in 2024, which helped him beef up his bank account. That wasn't the case in 2025. The German won only one title, that too at the ATP 500 level. Nevertheless, he stood third with regards to prize money earned in 2025.
Fritz was in fourth place on the list of top prize money earners in 2024, and held on to that spot in 2025 as well. However, a similar placement didn't yield the same amount of prize money. While he made $8.2 million a year ago, he could only earn $5.4 million this year.
Felix Auger-Aliassime's tally of $2 million in 2024 was pretty decent. However, his resurgence in 2025, highlighted by three titles, semifinals at the US Open and ATP Finals, and a return to the top 10, led to a $5.2 million payday. Ben Shelton and Lorenzo Musetti's pockets also ended up being quite heavier compared to a year ago, thanks to their top 10 debuts.
Musetti and Shelton earned $2.7 million and $2.6 million respectively in 2024. They nearly doubled their on-court income in 2025, with Musetti earning $4.8 million and Shelton making $4.7 million. Alex de Minaur's winnings in 2025 increased by nearly a million compared to his 2024 tally. He made $4.3 million last year, and upped it to $5.2 million this year.
Novak Djokovic's on-court earnings saw an uptick from 2024 to 2025

Novak Djokovic has played a limited schedule for the past two years. However, that hasn't put that big of a dent in his prize money. He made $4.4 million in 2024, and banked $5.1 million in 2025. His career prize money total stands at a whopping $191 million, the most a tennis player has ever made in the history of the sport.
While Jack Draper earned $3 million in 2024, it wasn't enough to place him among the top 10 prize money earners. However, his tally of $3.4 million was enough to put him at No. 10 in the ATP rankings as well as on the prize money list in 2025. An injury forced him to abandon his season after the US Open, or else he would've certainly earned some more.
Daniil Medvedev's income this year decreased by a sharp margin compared to last year. He made $6.5 million in 2024, and managed to earn $2.8 million in 2025. Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev earnings also took a steep hit. The former's earnings declined from $5.7 million in 2024 to $3.2 million in 2025, while the latter made $3.1 million in 2025, down from the $5.5 million he made in 2024.
Grigor Dimitrov's injury woes in 2025 naturally impacted his earnings as well. While he earned $3.7 million in 2024, he could only secure $1.4 million in 2025. The Bulgarian, along with Ruud, Medvedev, and Rublev, all fell out of the top 10 of the rankings in 2025, and consequently weren't in the top 10 earners of the season on account of their results.
