The Grow a Garden Christmas update introduces many new pets, including the extremely rare Christmas Gorilla. Since it is a limited-time pet, it is one of the most sought-after ones while the event lasts for the month. Like other animals in the game, it can be set up in a garden and provides unique buffs.

How to get the Christmas Gorilla in Grow a Garden

Here are the features to know about this new pet:

Pet Trait: Cold Belly - Occasionally grabs fruits with Cold type mutations to reduce cooking time of a random cooking pot
Hunger: 55000

The Christmas Gorilla is a Legendary pet and is similar to the Gorilla Chef pet from the previous Cooking Event update. If players have a cooking pot in their garden, it can use fruits with Cold mutations and add them to the pot to reduce cooking time. That said, the Christmas Gorilla has only an 8% chance to drop from the Santa's Surprise Present item.

At such a low drop rate, players will have to get lucky to get it. Thankfully, there is a way to farm for it while the Christmas event lasts. As it snows in the world, plants in the player's garden will periodically be coated with snow, thus gaining the Snowy trait. We recommend leaving the game running to ensure as many plants get mutated as possible.

Players must collect these mutated fruits and bring them to the Christmas Harvets area and submit them at the Christmas Harvest area, and submit them to the floating Golden Gift Box. Once 200 points are reached, players will receive a random reward, including a chance to obtain Santa's Surprise Present.
