Last Letter: A beginner's guide

Last Letter is Roblox's survival word game, excellent for who already have a decent English vocabulary or wish to have a fun learning experience. Like other experiences on the platform, this title is a simple, fun game that you can try. However, it's still in the beta phase, so expect some bugs and other major changes over time.

When you launch Last Letter on your device, you will be spawned in the game's central arena, flanked by two halls. Both work as two modes: Last Letter and One by One. Here's what you need to know about them:

Last Letter

This is the main, popular mode in the experience. From the central arena, head to the hall with the Last Letter signpost. In there, you will see a couple of tables across the room. Each table has two, three, four, or six chairs. Depending on the number of people you wish to play with, you can head to a table and take a seat.

After sufficient players have joined, the game will commence. One user must choose a letter from the given options. Then the person sitting next to them must type in a word starting with that specific letter and press "Enter." Then, another player sitting beside must type in a word beginning with the letter that the previous gamer's word ended with. As the game progresses, you are required to type in a word starting with two or three specific letters that the previous entry ended with.

For instance, if one chooses the letter "F", then another gamer must type in a word starting with F. "FAN," for example. Then, the next player must type in a word that begins with N since "FAN" ended with "N." Similarly, there could be moments when you must enter a word beginning with "AN."

Similarly, each player sitting around the table takes a turn. And those who fail twice to come up with the appropriate word are shot dead by the person sitting beside them.

One by One

The gameplay mechanic of this mode is similar to its counterpart; the only difference is that players must collaboratively form a word by taking turns and entering one letter at a time. After a couple of back-and-forth inputs, a point arrives when no more letters can be added to create a single coherent term. When that happens, the entry will be refreshed, and you will start over.

However, if there are still a few letters that can be added to create a term and you fail to add any, a countdown will begin. When it hits zero, you will be shot dead.

Other things to know about

The more games you win, the more Coins you earn in Last Letter. With this currency, you can buy weapons to kill defeated opponents in round tables. Aside from this, the game features daily rewards and different avatars. You can make your profile more visually appealing with these cosmetics.
