Andrew Kolvet, the executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, recently shared insights from the surgeon who treated Charlie Kirk's gunshot wounds. According to Kolvet's tweet on September 21, Kirk saved many lives because the bullet didn't leave his body and injure others.
For those unaware, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck on September 10 while addressing a crowd of 3000 at an event at Utah Valley University. As reported by The Sun, a single gunshot was fired at 12:10 pm (local time). It tore through his carotid artery, causing him to fall from his chair with blood spurting from his neck.
In his tweet, Andrew Kolvet explained how Charlie Kirk supposedly saved multiple lives thanks to his strong bone health. He mentioned the lack of an exit wound for the bullet that hit Kirk, citing what Kirk's surgeon had to say.
"I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital…He said the bullet “absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.”
However, the bullet didn't pass through his body, which prevented it from critically injuring others who were "directly behind" the Turning Point USA founder. Kolvet said that the surgeon claimed it was an "absolute miracle."
“His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too,” Kolvet wrote.
He concluded the tweet by saying that Kirk saved the lives of those around him "even in death."
Charlie Kirk's wife shares message for his killer during memorial service

Charlie Kirk's wife, Erika, delivered a message for his murderer during her speech at his memorial service. While addressing the crowd at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale on September 21, a tearful Erika Kirk said:
"That man, that young man … I forgive him."
The crowd erupted with applause as the mother of two continued:
"I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us."
She went on to explain how she felt after seeing Kirk following the assassination.
"I saw the wound that ended his life … I felt shock, I felt horror and a level of heartache that I didn't even know existed. But even in death, I could see the man that I loved. I saw the single gray hair on the side of his head, which I never told him about. I also saw in his lips the faintest smile. It revealed to me a great mercy from God in this tragedy. When I saw that, it told me Charlie didn't suffer," recounted Erika Kirk.
Finally, she spoke about the importance of faith and how her husband's death supposedly led to a "revival" instead of violence, riots, or a revolution.
"Pray again, read the Bible again, go to church next Sunday, and the Sunday after that and break free from the temptations and shackles of this world," Kirk said.
According to NPR, Erika Kirk was named CEO of Turning Point USA last week. It is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 by her husband and Bill Montgomery.
