Popular podcaster Jennifer Welch slammed deceased activist Charlie Kirk and his wife, Erika Kirk, in recent comments. Welch called Erika "an absolute grifter" while calling her husband "racist" and "homophobic."

On the December 7 episode of the I've Had It podcast, which Jennifer Welch hosts with Angie 'Pumps' Sullivan, Welch fired shots at Erika Kirk for her recent comments on the women of New York. In an interview with the New York Times on Wednesday, Kirk said a majority of New York's mayor Zohran Mamdani's voters were women, which is "ironic." She also claimed that women should not rely on the government and focus on building a family and having children instead.

Speaking about Kirk's statements, Welch compared her to President Trump and said:

"This woman should be kicked to the curb. She is an absolute grifter just like Donald Trump and just like her unrepentant racist homophobic husband was."

Welch added:

"You are an opportunistic grifter who weaponizes your gender to demean women, and you are a walking, talking, breathing example as to why nobody, number one, wants to be a Christian, and number two, wants to be a female hypocrite such as yourself. Your deceased husband was an unrepentant racist and a homophobe, and women are a lot more empathic than you are, Erika."

Welch's co-host, Angie Sullivan, also agreed with her and added that there could be more to life than identifying as "someone’s wife or someone’s mother." Meanwhile, Welch also commented on Erika Kirk's choice of outfit, criticizing her for seemingly changing it to suit the occasion.

In an interview with the New York Times at the Dealbook Summit on Wednesday (December 3), Erika Kirk shared that she finds it ironic that most of Zohran Mamdani's voters were female.

"It's so ironic and so interesting that a heavy percentage of the individuals that voted for him were female," she said.

Kirk continued:

"You know, it’s so interesting, because I lived in Manhattan for a while, and I loved this city. I think there’s a tendency, especially when you live in a city like Manhattan, where, again, you are so career-driven, and you almost look to the government as a form of replacement for certain things, relationship-wise, even. You see things a little bit differently."

Interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin mentioned that Zohran Mamdani's ideologies are radically different from those of Erika's husband, Charlie Kirk. The late conservative activist and the founder of Turning Point USA was shot to death in September this year while delivering a talk at Utah Valley University. Sorkin claimed that Mamdani "captured young voters" with his campaign.

When asked to share her thoughts on the mayor, Erika Kirk said she wants to approach the question as a female voter, as a majority of those who voted for Mamdani were female. However, she claimed women should not forget about building a family.

"What I don’t want to have happen is women, young women, in the city look to the government as a solution. To put off having a family or a marriage, because you’re relying on the government to support you, instead of being united with a husband, where you can support yourself and your husband can support [you], and you guys can all combine together," she said.

Erika Kirk has taken over as the CEO of Turning Point USA after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
