Charlie Kirk was assassinated during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. He was shot in the neck and died soon after. A man named Tyler Robinson was arrested the following day for allegedly taking the shot. His trial will begin next year.

Amidst this, Erika Kirk has published Charlie's book, Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life. She appeared on Fox News on Tuesday, December 9, to promote the book and talk about her late husband. When asked what she missed the most about him, Erika got emotional and answered:

"It's interesting, what I miss the most... What really just hits me hard is when I'm in the grocery store, and I see his hot sauce, I want to buy it. Or it's the little things. You know, his clothes everywhere. Um, excuse me, but.. It's the little things, and I know that people who have experienced laws totally understand what I'm saying."

"It's the small things that just get you. The visual of, you know, Teddy coming home, and to the world he was Charlie Kirk, but to us, he was my love of my life, and.. My children's," she added.

Erika explained how important it was for her to make their home a special place for Charlie, saying:

"It's those little things where, again, he would walk through the door, drop his bags, Daddy's home, take his phone Friday night, Shabbat shalom, throw it in the drunk drawer, and it was just all us."

And that's what I always wanted to make, so special for him was coming home. I'd always say, Baby, I don't care what time you get home. Home is here for you. Your food will never be cold. It might sit out for a little bit, but I'll reheat it," she added.

Erika Kirk also told other spouses not to "get mad." She said it was "so easy," but urged them not to do it.

In an interview with Fox News, Erika explained:

"In this book, Charlie talks about how important it is – to put your phone down, engage with your family. Pour into them. That’s your legacy. At first, it started with an hour, two hours. But then once he fully incorporated it into his life, he totally elevated. He became a next-level husband, which I didn’t even think was possible because he was already so incredible to me and the babies."

Charlie and Erika had two kids together, a son and a daughter.
