Travis Hunter is an American football player for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL as of October 2025. Hunter started his football career at Collins Hill High School in Georgia and was selected as a consensus five-star recruit and the top recruit from the class of 2022. The end of his high school career led Travis Hunter to start his college football career with the Jackson State Tigers in 2022. His performance with the team earned him SWAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2022.
Travis Hunter decided to enter the transfer portal after the 2022 season, following the departure of head coach Deion Sanders. He followed his former head coach and joined the Colorado Buffaloes from the 2023 season. He earned Second-team All-Pac 12 honors and the Paul Hornung Award in the 2023 season. Travis Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy and was also selected as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
