James Cook III vs CIN

Ad

At this point, much of the fantasy season has boiled down to which team has the most players facing the Cincinnati Bengals. James Cook III has kept fantasy football managers waiting for his next game-winning performance after tallying his only 30+ point game in Week 8. Well, it has finally arrived.

The Bengals defense ranks 31st against the run, setting the stage for Cook to have one of his best games of the season, assuming the Buffalo Bills don't panic if Joe Burrow delivers through the air.

Bucky Irving vs NO

Like James Cook III, Bucky Irving has kept fans waiting for much of the season due to foot and shoulder injuries, per Tampa Bay Buccaneers media in a Tuesday report. However, with his injury now in the rear-view mirror, the running back didn't waste time announcing his arrival to the league in Week 13. Now, with a matchup against New Orleans on tap, it could be one of Irving's best games of the season.

With a lead likely for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for most of the game, expect plenty of clean-up carries for Irving in the second half, which could give him extra chances to break away with big runs.

Jonathan Taylor @JAX

Jacksonville Jaguars fans will be quick to point out how the Jacksonville Jaguars shut down Kimani Vidal and the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 16. However, Jonathan Taylor is not Vidal. Expect plenty of work for arguably the best player in fantasy football this season.

Don't let the matchup scare you. Of course, he isn't likely to set a season-high against Jacksonville, but he'll do enough to pull his weight on most teams. If you're desperate for a 30-point game and have another player of similar caliber, it might make sense to start them, but the vast majority of teams don't have that option.
