Fantasy football is rounding another lap on the race to the playoffs, and tight end is rapidly becoming one of the only sources of quality free-agent players. The usual suspects are near the top, but every week comes with a few surprises. Tight end is often neglected, but picking the difference between a four-point game and a nine-point game could be enough to sink your season.
Take a look at where your tight end lines up and make sure you're maximizing your potential in the grand scheme of things. The rankings take into account season-long production, recent productivity, and matchup.

Week 12 Fantasy Football TE Picks

Trey McBride vs JAX
Trey McBride has continued a strong run, stacking back-to-back 100-yard games against the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. The Jacksonville Jaguars are far from a lockdown defense against tight ends, setting the stage for another big game. If you have McBride, let him ride as your TE1 and don't look back.
Disregard the team's recent near-shutdown of Oronde Gadsden II, as seemingly the Jaguars have emerged as Los Angeles' kryptonite across the board in their last two matchups, as the Chargers scored just nine points in their last six quarters against the team.
Noah Fant vs NE
The Patriot Way is back, which means that with Ja'Marr Chase suspended from playing per a Tuesday ESPN report, Tee Higgins is likely to see plenty of double-teams. That could open things up for Noah Fant, who has either caught five passes or a touchdown in each of his last two games.
Fant could be available on the waiver wire. If you need a free-agent addition to your fantasy football team, sign him up as soon as possible. With Chase out of the picture, it could be Fant's best fantasy football game yet this season.
Colston Loveland vs PIT
Colston Loveland's ginormous two-touchdown, 118-yard game is starting to shrink in the rear-view mirror, but the Pittsburgh Steelers' struggling defense could offer a reminiscent fantasy football performance for Loveland.
At this point, it is clear that Cole Kmet isn't in the picture as a receiving tight end anymore, so Loveland has little competition in the room. Loveland has caught at least three passes in each of his last five games and has not been shut out since Sept. 14.
