George Pickens and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Las Vegas Raiders 33-16 in Week 11 on Monday night at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Cowboys wideout Pickens, who was benched for the team's first drive, had a stellar game when he came on, posting 144 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. Amid Pickens' excellent displays this season, former Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant advised him via a tweet on Monday to remain with the team to build his legacy, even if it meant taking a pay cut to stay in Dallas. However, when Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe caught wind of Bryant's tweet for Pickens, he called out the former Cowboys WR for his apparent hypocrisy. "I just remembered when Dez got his contract, Dez was the highest paid player (for the Cowboys at the time in 2015)," Sharpe said on his "Nightcap" show on Monday. "He wasn't worried about his legacy. He didn't, Dez was the highest paid. ... Damn an NFL legacy, my kids can't eat that. They can't go to private school or college on that after what I did in the NFL."The Cowboys acquired Pickens via trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the offseason. Pickens is currently leading the Cowboys in receiving yards (908), targets (83), and is tied with Jake Ferguson for the most touchdowns (7) this season. However, Pickens' current contract expires in 2025. Dallas has shown in the past that contract extensions for players might not be a smooth process, but it remains to be seen how the team will negotiate, if it does, with the wideout.
