Jason Kelce did not hold back on Wednesday when discussing Kansas City’s short-yardage issues. He highlighted that the Chiefs squandered crucial scoring chances in their loss to Buffalo on Sunday, lacking a reliable quarterback sneak variation.

The former Eagles center cohosts the "New Heights" podcast with his brother and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce. Travis finished the game with four catches for 66 yards.

The conversation came up three days after the Chiefs’ 28-21 defeat. The brothers revisited a sequence near the goal line that shifted the momentum before halftime.

"Here's the reality that play before half, we got to be able to tush push that thing in," Jason said (10:35). "They got two "tush push." We need to get the tush push down, and we need Noah Gray, or somebody over there, to get the "tush push" down.

"That's how they scored every time they got to the one-yard line. You can't go into halftime only getting three points because you don't f*cking got a "tush push" in the goddamn play."

Jason Kelce stressed on Wednesday that Patrick Mahomes’ lingering knee concerns limit his involvement in straight-ahead pile-moving plays.

"And I get that Pat can't do the "tush push" because he's got funky knees," Kelce said, via the "New Heights" podcast. "We got to have somebody doing the "tush push," god damnit."

Meanwhile, Buffalo leaned on its variation of the sneak. Josh Allen powered in for two short rushing touchdowns, pushing his career total to 79, the most by any quarterback in NFL history.

Allen also delivered through the air, completing 23 of 26 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown while adding 19 rushing yards across six attempts. He created the chances for three of the Bills' four touchdowns and finished with 292 total yards.

Mahomes finished 15 of 34 for 250 yards with no passing touchdowns and one interception. Buffalo’s defensive front repeatedly disrupted him, registering 15 quarterback hits, the most he has absorbed in a single game.
