Kevin Stefanski and the Cleveland Browns suffered a 32-13 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday as the team continues to struggle on offense. However, the coach will be sticking with Dillon Gabriel as the starting quarterback when the team returns from its bye in Week 10.In what was an underwhelming performance for Gabriel, he completed 21 of 35 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns, throwing two interceptions. Nonetheless, Stefanski believes he's in the best position to lead the team to victory among the options in the quarterback room. There's been an intense call among fans and a section of the media for Kevin Stefanski to give rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders an opportunity. The coach does recognize the challenges at the position, but he believes a personnel change is not what the team needs right now.The Browns started the season with Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback. However, the veteran was demoted to the backup role after Week 4 and was subsequently traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. Gabriel hasn't done anything better despite showing some early glimpses.Kevin Stefanski's refusal to move on from Dillon Gabriel has generated a lot of reactions from NFL fans. Many believe it's time for the coach to hand Shedeur Sanders, who was drafted in the fifth round in April, an opportunity to impress. Here's a look at some of the reactions online:Ryan Wyatt @FwizLINK@MaryKayCabot I would rather see Shedeur throw 30 interceptions in a game than see the 5’9” checkdown merchant ever again.Afro City @NaijasveryLINK@MaryKayCabot Why is everyone surprised, the Browns are tanking. Stefanski is doing what he is asked to do and that is to secure a top 3 pick.Ricardo Romero @iamcardoLINK@MaryKayCabot Kevin is like the violin player on the TitanicBaba Blue Jay @BabaBlueJayLINK@MaryKayCabot Without even bothering to watch film shows this is all about protecting his fragile ego. The offense has been the team's major problem in making a leap forward this season.“I just want to make the point that we just have to be better in every area, and we'll look at everything we do, including how we're putting these guys in position to succeed,” Stefanski noted in his postgame press conference session.“Are we doing enough when I say looking at every position? Are we doing enough with the quarterback position? Do we need to do a better job? I think I know the answer is yes.”Stefanski and his staff need to get the offense up and running after the bye to change the tide of the Browns’ season and ease off the pressure of getting fired. Led by Myles Garrett, the Browns have had arguably the best defense in the NFL this season.
