"Sanders just beat out Dillon Gabriel to become the QB 1 for the rest of the year. Legendary comeback," a fan said.
"Interesting move consistency might help, but it also puts a lot of pressure on him right away," another fan said.

Dillon Gabriel's fiancée, Zo Caswell, caught flak from Cleveland fans after posting "Browns lost what's new" on social media. It came following the Nov. 30 game versus the 49ers which Sanders started.

Sanders has been under center in the Browns' last three matchups, posting a 1-2 record. His best performance was on Sunday in the narrow defeat to Tennessee. Sanders threw for over 300 yards and found the end zone three times.

The move also clears Deshaun Watson's status. The veteran has been practicing after missing all season with an Achilles injury.

Shedeur Sanders opened training camp as the fourth-string quarterback in Cleveland. Not a lot of fans and analysts expected him to play meaningful snaps this year. However, the Browns traded Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, thinning the room.

Dillon Gabriel got first crack at leading the offense; however, he struggled through his opportunities. When he went into concussion protocol against Baltimore in Week 11, Sanders stepped in.

The former Colorado Buffaloes star will face the Bears, Bills, Steelers and the Bengals to finish the year. Three of those four teams are fighting for playoff spots, and the competition level is expected to be high.
