Skip Bayless spells doom for Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs after shocking loss to Broncos

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a 22-19 loss on the road at the hands of the Denver Broncos on Sunday. It was their second consecutive defeat following a 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.

In the midst of a two-game losing streak, there are increasing doubts over the Chiefs' ability to repeat as AFC champions. After Sunday's result, Skip Bayless shared his thoughts about Andy Reid's team. He suggested that the Chiefs' dominance in the AFC is coming to an end.

In another tweet, Bayless criticized Patrick Mahomes' performance. He said that the three-time Super Bowl champion is steadily deteriorating.

"Mahomes just isn't what he used to be. KC 0-5 in one-score games???"

Against the Broncos, Patrick Mahomes completed 29 of 45 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown, a 21-yard strike to Travis Kelce in the third quarter. Mahomes also threw one interception in the game.

During their Week 9 loss against the Bills, the Chiefs quarterback completed 15 of 34 passes for 250 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

This season, Mahomes has thrown for 2,625 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing for four scores. The Chiefs are third in the AFC West with a 5-5 record, trailing the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos.
