Shedeur Sanders had a breakout performance on Sunday, showcasing his full range of talent even though the result didn’t go the Cleveland Browns’ way. Despite him throwing for 364 yards and three touchdowns, and adding 29 rushing yards and a score, the Browns still lost to the Tennessee Titans.

Sanders threw a pass to Dylan Sampson in the backfield early in the game but the running back was stripped by the Titans defense. Several Tennessee players, including three-time Pro Bowler Jeffery Simmons, mocked Sanders by celebrating with his signature “watch” celebration.

Sanders responded with a touchdown pass to tight end David Njoku. He jogged straight toward Simmons after the score and delivered the celebration in front of him.

"Why no one likes this bum," one fan said.
"He should probably prove he has some sort of consistency in winning before doing all the extra cocky sh*t," a fan tweeted.

Despite the rookie’s fiery response, the Titans walked away with a 31-29 win. Simmons addressed Sanders’ gesture after the game.

“You know he’s a competitor, you know he’s going to talk back," Simmons told reporters. "I love it. I told him that’s his team now, and you’re going to be a star in this league.”

Shedeur Sanders joined Joe Burrow as the only rookies to have this stat line in NFL history

Shedeur Sanders joined rare company on Sunday. He became the second rookie quarterback in the Super Bowl era with 350+ passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in a game. It's a feat previously recorded by the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow.

Sanders also became the first rookie this season to eclipse the 300-yard passing mark.

The former Colorado Buffaloes star will have another chance to strengthen his case in Week 15 versus the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
