George Kittle’s wife, Claire, opened up about the term “WAG” on Tuesday's episode of the “Up & Adams” podcast. The term became the talk of the town recently after Amon Ra St. Brown’s girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, criticized it last month.Claire candidly reflected on her opinion about the “WAG.” She initially explained the term and said they are “changing the narrative.”"At the end of the day, it's an easy, quick word to put a mass label on a bunch of people," Kittle said. "So I get that totally. I think we raised on it as being a negative thing, in a negative word, and don't give me wrong, all of us, a lot of us get you know flak, and you heard it all. So I don't know, I think it's we're changing the narrative too, right? "Claire Kittle also talked about her new YouTube series, called “Wife’d Up, Mic’d Up,” which she started in collaboration with Kyle Juszczyk’s wife, Kristin."And that's another reason, Kristin and I wanted to do this Wife'd Up, Mic'd Up and being control of our own content because it's like we're normal chics who love football and wanna tailgate before and then love our husbands after," Kittle said. "Like we just wanted to show that, and I think it's changing.""I think there are so many incredible women across the league and women are really coming into sports so much so like the last three years, it's really exploding on all levels and it's so fun to see. So I don't know we're changing it and it's you know, it's just a word."Meanwhile, Amon Ra St. Brown’s girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, was critical of the term WAG.What has Amon Ra St. Brown’s girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, said about the “WAG” label? In an exclusive interview with People magazine published on Nov. 2, Amon Ra St. Brown’s girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, opened up about her personal life. She strongly criticized the term “WAG” used to describe the partners of athletes. She said that she “doesn’t like the WAG title.”"We're more than wives and girlfriends of athletes," Adams said. "I have a name, and if you got to know me, then you'd realize that I'm more than just a girlfriend."".....I love that they put a spin on that. I don't like the WAG title," she added. "Nothing against anybody who likes it. It's cute that girls put their own twist on it. But to be given that title, I'm not a fan."Adams further talked about the "girlfriends and wives" of sports stars and discussed how they are “doing so many things behind the scenes,” and that putting them "in this category is discrediting.”Amon Ra St. Brown has been dating Brooklyn Adams for almost ten years now. She often attends his matchups to cheer for him.
