After the game, a clip of George Pickens failing to make a catch went viral. Dak Prescott attempted to connect with Pickens down the field, but the receiver appeared to watch the ball land at his feet without making a move to grab it.

Pickens ended the game with a stat line of five catches, 37 receiving yards, and zero touchdowns. It's his lowest total for receiving yards since his Cowboys debut against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1.

Richard Sherman criticized George Pickens after a lackluster showing vs. Lions

Legendary cornerback Richard Sherman had some choice words for George Pickens after his Thursday Night Football performance. The Super Bowl XLVIII champion said,

"The big story here is George Pickens. Throughout the game, especially late, Pickens just looked uninterested in playing football. And that's what you can't have. If you're going to be a superstar, if you want to be the best receiver in the National Football League, you can never be disengaged."

Sherman continued:

"It doesn't matter if the game is going your way or not going your way. You can't just disappear in these games, or else you're not going to have an impact. You're the guy. CeeDee Lamb is not in this game. He's out. And you get intercepted on your slant routes. And you can't be the guy and half-a-- it. I'm sorry. That's just unacceptable."

It was the Cowboys' first loss since their bye week, dropping them to 6-6-1. They're currently behind the Philadelphia Eagles and will need to win out and hope the Eagles lose.

The Cowboys' next game is against the Minnesota Vikings. They'll then close out the campaign with games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and the New York Giants.
