Tom Brady's minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders was supposed to bring stability and success for the franchise. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion's first season in the front office has been chaotic. There are doubts about where the franchise is headed with a 2-10 record ahead of the final stretch.

One of the players on the team was asked this week if he felt good about the future of the team.

"I really don’t know what the plan is. I don’t think anyone knows," the Raider told The Athletic's Dianna Russini on Saturday.

The legendary quarterback purchased a 5% minority stake in the franchise in October 2024 through a deal valued at around $670 million. He reportedly had a major role in some huge decisions, including the hiring of offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and the trade for quarterback Geno Smith.

Those decisions have backfired. Kelly's tenure lasted just 11 games before being fired following an ugly loss to the Cleveland Browns. He reportedly called some plays that were different from those discussed in meetings.

Tom Brady on the Raiders' coaching changes

Tom Brady's Las Vegas Raiders kicked off the season in style with a 20-13 win over Robert Kraft's New England Patriots. However, it has been followed by a nightmare of a season. Months of poor performance have finally triggered changes, and the first one to exit was OC Chip Kelly.

According to The Athletic's report, Brady is disappointed by the team's overall performance, and his frustrations go beyond the offense.

Las Vegas is expected to suffer even more in the final five games. They are scheduled to face the Denver Broncos (10-2), the Philadelphia Eagles (8-4), the Houston Texans (7-5), the New York Giants (2-11) and the Kansas City Chiefs (6-6).

The Raiders have a realistic chance of securing a win against the Giants only. They have already lost 31-0 to the Chiefs earlier this year. Apart from the victory over the Patriots in the season opener, Tom Brady's Raiders have only won against the Tennessee Titans, who have an even worse record of 1-11 this season.

The Raiders are on a six-game losing streak and might close the year with a 2-15 or 3-14 record. After a disastrous season, the franchise would need a rebuild and reinforcements at multiple positions. But the environment in the locker room suggests that the players are not optimistic about the future of the franchise.
