During Monday's broadcast of the Eagles vs the Los Angeles Chargers game, Aikman said that the retired center still has a lot left in his tank and could potentially help his former team turn around their fortunes amid their offensive struggles.

"Maybe the Eagles with these banged up interior offensive lineman could call on our friend, 38-year-old Jason Kelce," Joe Buck said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't already at some point this year, even last year," Aikman added. "I think I'd be knocking on his door every week to try to get him to come back. He could still do it."

Joe Buck then highlighted how Brandon Graham unretired in October to help the team after the defensive line lost several key members before the start of the season.

The Eagles drafted Jason Kelce with the 191st overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent his entire professional career with the team and won Super Bowl II with them.

In 13 seasons, the retired center played in 193 total games with 12,002 offensive snaps to his name. He announced his retirement in March 2024 after the Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. This was Jason Kelce's second Super Bowl appearance.

On Sunday, his former team suffered a disappointing 22-19 OT loss at the hands of the Chargers. This resulted in them putting up an 8-5 record with a three-game losing streak.
