Trevon Diggs made a rare public appearance amid his mysterious concussion injury. The Dallas Cowboys linebacker was spotted attending Grammy-nominated rapper NBA YoungBoy's concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.Dallas rapper OC Chris shared a post dedicated to NBA YoungBoy's "Make American Slime Again" tour. In one of the pictures, Trevon Diggs was seen posing with the rapper while flaunting a pair of faded jeans and a greenish jacket.Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed that Diggs had suffered a concussion at home ahead of their Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders."We're gathering information," Schottenheimer told the press about Diggs. "I just got that information walking over from our doctors and was in meetings all morning. But it happened last night."The cornerback was ultimately placed on the injured reserve list after missing practice. He missed last week's 44-24 loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos and is expected to return during the team's Thanksgiving showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 27.The Cowboys acquired Diggs with the 51st overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. In six seasons, the two-time Pro Bowler tallied a total of 233 tackles, 20 interceptions, and two tackles for loss for the Cowboys. In the six games he's played this year, he has recorded 18 total tackles, and one tackle for loss.Amid his absence, the rumor mill has been churning about the Cowboys potentially looking to trade away the cornerback or cut him from the roster. As per insider Clarence Hill Jr., this decision could help the team save some cap space."A Trevon Diggs release in the offseason saves the Cowboys $54 million in cap space from 2026-2028. If he's not traded, look for him to be a post June 1 cut," Hill tweeted.In July 2023, Trevon Diggs signed a five-year extension worth $97 million with the team.Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gives his verdict on Trevon Diggs' future with the teamWith the Nov. 4 trade deadline approaching, Jerry Jones clarified the team's stance on their two-time Pro Bowl cornerback. He stated that Diggs will not leave the Cowboys anytime soon."I don't see that today at all," Jones said. "He's got to get well, and he hasn't been.""Diggs' biggest problem is he's injured and it's not the same knee he was doing his rehab with. That's his No.1 challenge.
