Four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen won the Las Vegas GP on Saturday night. The Red Bull driver put himself in contention to win a fifth straight title since both McLaren drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, were disqualified from the race for technical breaches.
Norris is still leading the F1 standings at 390 points, with two races remaining in the season. Verstappen is now tied in second place with Piastri, both of whom are on 366 points each.
Kayla Nicole apologizes for offensive past tweets after social media backlash
Earlier in November, Kayla Nicole deleted her X account after fans dug up her offensive posts. A week later, Nicole apologized for her past tweets via her Instagram story.
"I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago," Nicole in a post on her IG story. "Seeing them resurface last week has been incredibly difficult, and reading them now, I'm ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way. They were ignorant, hurtful and completely wrong."
Nicole added that she couldn't change the past, but took full responsibility for her actions. She also explained that deleting her X account was because she refused to "keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate."
Nicole graduated from Pepperdine University in 2013 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She previously worked at ESPN.
