Travis Kelce gets special request from The Chainsmokers as fiancée Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” gets EDM twist by electronic duo

The Chainsmokers gave Travis Kelce a fun shout-out this week over an upbeat remix of Taylor Swift’s song “The Fate of Ophelia.” On Friday, the DJ duo posted a behind-the-scenes video showing how they turned Swift’s pop song into an EDM version.

"Might need to hit Trav for dance lessons,” the electronic duo joked in the caption of the Instagram video, which Kelce noticed and liked.

The remix was released Tuesday, and The Chainsmokers responded in the comments of a Swift fan account, Taylor Nation, writing:

“This is truly an honor 🙏🏻 we love u T.”

“The Fate of Ophelia,” released Oct. 3 as the first single from Swift’s album "The Life of a Showgirl," has become one of her biggest hits. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for seven weeks, tying “Blank Space” and just behind “Anti-Hero,” which held the No. 1 spot for eight weeks.

The song is inspired by Ophelia from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Swift uses that imagery to explore themes of loneliness, vulnerability and strength.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift partied with Chainsmokers at Chiefs' 2024 Super Bowl Victory Party

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win with a night out in Las Vegas. Kelce joined The Chainsmokers in their DJ booth, where he happily sang along to Swift’s song “You Belong With Me.”

A fan video on X showed him raising his hands and shouting the lyrics while he and Swift pointed at each other from across the booth.

The celebration happened on Feb. 12 at Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas, only a few hours after the Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in a row. Swift had arrived in Las Vegas earlier that day after flying in from Tokyo, where she finished an Eras Tour show the night before.

Travis Kelce's Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime on Feb. 11.
