Tom Brady takes financial hit worth $10,000 following robbery in NYC card shop 

Since retiring from the NFL, Tom Brady has ventured into different avenues of financial investments. One of those investments is a franchise of card shops called "CardVault" that he owns. On Friday news broke that the New York City location was robbed in October.

The theft occurred on October 20, 2025, when a man attempted to pay for Pokemon and baseball cards totaling nearly $10,000. The payment the suspect used was declined but he was able to bypass the declined transaction and leave with the $9,700 in cards. The NYPD is currently looking for the unidentified man whom has been spotted in the shop's security footage.

"At time in place of occurrence, unknown defendant utilized a tap to pay account and then manipulated the point of sale system in order to obtain property without the permission and authority to do so, resulting in the loss of 9,710 U.S. currency in merchandise. It's being investigated by the Financial Crimes Task Force of the NYPD," the NYPD said in a statement regarding the case.

Almost $10,000 worth of Pokémon and baseball cards were stolen from Tom Brady's card store in New York City last month, the NYPD said Friday.

The New York City location of "CardVault", had just opened two weeks prior to the robbery. The franchise currently has eight locations including two in New York City and will open another location at the "Mall of America" this upcoming weekend. Tom Brady became 50% owner of "CardVault" earlier this year as he is a big fan of trading cards.

Tom Brady still sees the New England Patriots' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII as one of the worst in his career. On the most recent edition of the YouTube series, "Story Time with Tom" on FOX's channel, he recalled the triggering response he still gets when he watches the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Any time I see a trick play from the Eagles, I get PTSD — and that's not fun when you're a broadcaster calling the game," Brady said via "Story Time with Tom."

Brady also went on to call the 41-33 Super Bowl LII defeat, crushing, despite winnings even Super Bowl titles in his career.
