Tom Brady was 45 years old when he played his final NFL campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2022. He helped them to an 8-9 record and a playoff spot, where they lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round. Now, the retired seven-time Super Bowl champion will witness a 44-year-old Philip Rivers unretire and make his comeback in the league to play for the Indianapolis Colts. On Thursday's episode of "NFL on FOX," Tom Brady shared his unfiltered thoughts on possibly coming back to play in the league after watching Rivers sign with the Colts."First of all, who retires and then unretires, and then is ultimately going to retire again," Tom Brady said. "Who does that? Is that even, that's ridiculous. For Philip to do that. It's, good for him. I'm happy he's doing it."I think the answer for me would be yes. I'm not allowed to anymore, because I'm an owner, a minority owner of the Raiders. So I can't unretire. But I'm very excited to watch Philip play because if he's out there, I think it's just very cool, you know. It speaks to, you know, how much he loves the game and really what he's able to do still and this game is about, for the quarterback, from the neck up. However, FS1's Nick Wright still has faith in Mahomes and the Chiefs. He compared their situation to that of Tom Brady with the Patriots."Brady, who Mahomes is always compared to... in year seven played in a Super Bowl to win his fourth," Wright said (Timestamp-5:20). "They lost and then over the next three years, the Patriots won zero playoff games and got blown out, including a loss to Mark Sanchez at home."Mahomes played a Super Bowl to win his fourth. They lost. And right now they look like they're going to miss the playoffs. It ebbs and flows. For the first time in the Mahomes era, they are not a great team."The Chiefs take on the Chargers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
