Cam Skattebo made an appearance on WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden on Monday. The New York Giants running back got into a brawl with members of The Judgment Day faction during the event.Former Super Bowl champion T. J. Ward wasn't pleased with Skattebo's appearance, given that the Giants rookie is recovering from a season-ending ankle injury."This how you make sure you have a short NFL career 🤦🏽‍♂️," Ward wrote on X.Skattebo suffered the injury against the Philadelphia Eagles and ended his rookie season with a stat line of 101 carries, 410 rushing yards, and five touchdowns in eight games.Ward played for three teams in his eight-year career. He earned three Pro Bowl nods and was part of the Super Bowl 50-winning Denver Broncos squad.Cam Skattebo is aiming for a 2026 returnCam Skattebo is set to miss the rest of the season as he recovers from surgery to repair his dislocated ankle. His injury was a major blow to the Giants.According to USA Today, Skattebo's injury isn't expected to impact him entering the 2026 season. Reports suggest the Arizona State product is expected to be sidelined for only 4-6 months. This estimate aligns with the Giants' offseason team schedule. So, there's a solid chance that Skattebo would be healthy to start the 2026 regular season despite the worrisome nature of his injury."If all is good and clean and the surgery went as well as everyone believes, he should be back with no issues for next year," NFL insider Ian Rapoport said."It is a gruesome injury, but the recovery is actually not as bad. We have seen several others with similar injuries come back and play the next year. Dak Prescott comes to mind. So, (it is) 2026 for Cam Skattebo."In the meantime, the Giants will look to put an end to their five-game losing streak when they face the Detroit Lions in Week 12.
