The Dallas Cowboys failed to deliver against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, leaving their postseason hopes hanging by a thread after a 36-24 defeat in Week 15.

The Cowboys need to win their remaining game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants, while the Philadelphia Eagles, who lead the NFL East, lose all their remaining three games for Dallas to make it to the postseason.

Veteran NFL analyst and Cowboys fan Skip Bayless ripped Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Brian Schottenheimer (Schotty) after Sunday's potential season-ending loss.

"This is, this is inexcusable from Bozo Jerry and company, you know, Schotty, sh*tty," Bayless said. "I don't know. He's just a guy to me. He's a nice guy. Fun to watch occasionally. And the team really likes him to a fault because nobody's afraid of Schotty.

"Nobody's afraid. There's no Jimmy Johnson operating here. There's no Tom Landry operating here. He's just a guy in his fifties who never got a shot to be a head coach, even though his father was a very good head coach... we don't have a real head coach."

While the Cowboys still have a chance of making the playoffs on paper, their season has ended in disappointment under the first-year coach.

Ex-Jets HC Rex Ryan calls out Cowboys' defense after Vikings loss

Former Jets coach Rex Ryan criticized the team after their loss against the Vikings on Sunday. Ryan pointed out the Jets' defensive woes that have let down a potent offense this season.

“Their defense. I mean, 100%. This is a Super Bowl-caliber offense. We've seen it all year. But this defense stinks. They made J.J. McCarthy look like Fran Tarkenton, and he's been on the struggle bus all season,” Ryan said.
“But, again, look, guys, how do you get this open in the National Football League? It shouldn't happen.”

Ryan referred to Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy's performance against the Cowboys defense as he completed 15 of his 24 passes for 250 yards, throwing two touchdowns and an interception.
