“I told myself if he actually plays, then Dan don’t give a f*ck about him cos you’re doing the same sh*t you always do, putting a not 100% healthy athlete back in the game (why not let him rest another week).”

Jo Bakee wrote:

“People asking why, he is a 2nd-year QB who needs reps and needs to develop. This is how we as a team get better, and he as a player gets better. Can’t just have him sitting if he is fully healthy.”

Jayden Daniels’ struggles with injuries

The Commanders are entering Week 14 with a 3-9 record, with no playoff berth in sight. However, getting Jayden Daniels back in full health is a win that many fans will gladly take. The quarterback has had a difficult season, missing several games.

He was first sidelined after Washington’s Week 2 loss to Green Bay before returning on Oct. 5 for the win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Marcus Mariota has filled in for Daniels most of the season, getting his seventh start in the Commanders’ Week 13 loss to the Denver Broncos.

The Commanders will be looking for a win against a Vikings side that will also be welcoming quarterback JJ McCarthy back from the concussion protocol.

Meanwhile, the team will also be hoping to keep its starting quarterback healthy, seeing the kind of season he’s having. Therefore, protecting Daniels will be a top priority for the Commanders’ offense when they face the Vikings on Sunday.
