Shedeur Sanders appeared in his first NFL regular-season game on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns rookie entered the field in the third quarter following Dillon Gabriel's first-half collision that resulted in a concussion.
Sanders' debut was disappointing, as he completed just 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards with one interception and two sacks in the 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Rapper Mase, who has a net worth of $8 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), shared his thoughts about the quarterback's debut.
"I was really excited to see Shedeur get on the field, but the one thing I was thinking as soon as he came in, the first thing that went through my mind is like, 'Why do you bring him back against this team?'" Mase said on Monday (28:10), via "It Is What It Is."

"So they did what they were supposed to do. I think it was very unfortunate he came in against the Ravens, but he did get a shot."
Mase argued that Sanders will get better as the season progresses.
"So when your number is called, you got to be ready," Mase said. "I just look at it like that. But I definitely think as time goes on, he'll get better and he'll motivate that team. All the inspiration they're looking for, hopefully bring that to the table because there's a lot riding on this. It looked like they just threw him to the wolves."
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Gabriel will be the starter again once he's healthy. He is reportedly still in concussion protocol, and Sanders might get his first career start on Sunday versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
Shedeur Sanders gets support from locker room despite poor NFL debut
Shedeur Sanders received support from his Cleveland Browns teammates, including Myles Garrett, who refused to allow the rookie quarterback to take sole responsibility for Sunday's loss.
"He spoke after the game and he wanted to pin it on himself and his performance," Garrett told reporters. "But we're not going to allow him to do that. It's a team game. We're all in this together."
Garrett saw Sanders walking toward the sideline with his head down following disappointing drives and intervened to encourage him. Stefanski revealed that Sunday was Sanders' first time taking snaps with the starting offensive unit since being drafted.
