He and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, discussed what Burrow’s return would mean for the rest of the conference.

"The Bengals probably won't make the playoffs, but it'll probably f*ck somebody else's playoff dreams up, which is a good enough reason, I suppose," Jason said (Timestamp: 52:39), via the “New Heights” podcast

"I'm not ever going to go to somebody and say, 'Yeah, I'm healthy, but I don't think I should go out there and play,'" Burrow told reporters on Tuesday. "That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm not going to live my life and play this game scared of something happening."

Bengals coach Zac Taylor chose to hold Burrow out in Week 12 against New England, despite logging full practices and handling scout-team and first-team work. Burrow said he felt significant soreness after the sessions, not in the repaired toe, but throughout his body after a lengthy layoff.

Cincinnati opened the year 2-0 before Burrow’s injury created instability at quarterback. Jake Browning struggled to keep the offense afloat, prompting the team to trade for Joe Flacco. His lone win came against Pittsburgh before another four-game slide.

Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase returns from suspension on Thursday, while WR Tee Higgins remains sidelined with a concussion.
