Travis Kelce pointed to rising concerns as the Kansas City Chiefs contemplate their playoff chances.
The Chiefs (5-5) are third in the AFC West behind the Denver Broncos (9-2) and the LA Chargers (7-4). In the broader AFC playoff picture, they are the 9th seed, outside of a playoff berth.
Kelce discussed the gravity of the situation during Wednesday's episode of his podcast.
"The answers are right there," Kelce said, via "New Heights." "You turn on the film, you see what's going on, you see where your strengths are, where your weaknesses are, and you keep getting better. And you know, the concern isn't with Do we have the guys? Yeah, the concern isn't, do we have the coaches?

"I'm right here raising my hand saying, I need to get my sh*t right. And that should be the mentality of everybody that steps in this f*cking building and and there needs to be a sense of urgency to get that sh*t done and to be proficient with how you're getting it done. And I got, I got a lot of faith in the guys in this building. I know I'm gonna go to war."
Kansas City posted a 15-2 record and clinched the AFC West title last season.
However, the team is staring at the possibility of missing the playoffs this year if things don't change quickly. Its record comes with glaring issues: 1-4 on the road, two wins against conference opponents and 1-2 in the AFC West.
The Chiefs' margin for error is near zero. With seven regular-season games left, every week is a must-win for them.
Geno Smith apologizes to Travis Kelce after unexpected revelation
Jason Kelce revealed on “Monday Night Football” that Geno Smith influenced Travis Kelce’s switch from quarterback to tight end.
“You ruined Trav’s chance of ever playing quarterback for West Virginia by showing them up at that recruiting camp,” Jason said.
Travis didn't play for West Virginia, and Jason suggested that Smith’s strong performance was the reason.
“I had no idea," Smith said. "My bad, Trav. My bad, bro.But hey, it worked out.”
Travis' career flourished, and he became Kansas City’s all-time touchdown leader with his 84th score during Sunday’s loss to Denver.
