"The Commanders once again drafted a qb 2nd overall who looked good as a rookie then went on to be super injury prone," another wrote, referencing former Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III.
"No reason to play him again this season. Will be interesting to see if the Commanders can bounce back next year or if last season was a fluke," a third said.

Here are more reactions.

"They need to shut him down for this year," one fan commented.
"We waited years for a QB like this and now it's injury after injury," another added.
"Sit him the rest of the year if you have to. He's the future. No reason to risk long-term damage for a lost season. Get right JD," a fan tweeted.

The injury happened during the third quarter against the Vikings. Daniels tossed an interception, and a Minnesota defender blocked him to the turf on the return. He came down hard on his left arm, the same one that had sidelined him earlier this year.

Jayden Daniels headed to the medical tent but didn't come back. Doctors examined him and decided he shouldn't play this weekend. Washington will reassess his condition next week.

Coach Dan Quinn spoke to reporters on Wednesday about Daniels' status.

"No structural setbacks," Quinn said. "We are really bummed for Jayden. He has worked incredibly hard to get back on the field with his guys."

This marks Jayden Daniels' sixth missed game in 2024. A sprained knee and hamstring problems kept him out earlier.
