Former NFL center Jason Kelce wasn't too pleased with the manner in which the LA Dodgers won the World Series this year. The Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in Game 7 to clinch the championship on Saturday.

During his "New Heights" podcast episode that released on Wednesday, Kelce slammed the MLB's competitive balance and highlighted the manner in which big-market teams dominate the postseason.

"You're telling me I'm supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that just spends more money than everybody else who the f*ck cares about ... that's why baseball sucks," Kelce said. "That's why baseball is by World Series championships, the dumbest thing in the world.

"It's exciting that the team that spent the most money, and everybody knew was gonna win the World Series. Everybody knew this was gonna happen before the season. We just had a bunch of meaningless s*it happen before it, and then it happened."

The Dodgers entered October with baseball’s highest payroll at reportedly over $310 million. Their star-studded roster featured players such as Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, and others.

This was the Dodgers' second straight World Series title. They became the first MLB team to win back-to-back championships after 25 years.

On Wednesday's "New Heights" podcast episode, Jason Kelce urged the Kansas City Chiefs and his younger brother, Travis Kelce, to use the Philadelphia Eagles' "Tush Push" play to improve short-yardage success.

“We got to be able to tush push that thing in,” Jason said. “We need to get the tush push down. We need [backup tight end] Noah Gray, or somebody over there, to get the tush push going. That’s how the Bills scored every time they got to the one-yard line — Josh Allen with the tush push.

“The Philadelphia Eagles, that’s how we score every time we get to the one-yard line. You can’t go into halftime only getting three points because you don’t have a tush push in the playbook. I get that Pat (Patrick Mahomes) can’t do it because he’s got funky knees, but somebody’s got to."

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been one of the best players on the team this season. However, with a 5-4 record heading into Week 10, Kansas City is yet to fight it out for a playoff berth.

Jason Kelce played his entire 13-year NFL career with the Eagles from 2011 to 2023, earning seven Pro Bowl honors. He played an important role in helping the team win the Super Bowl in 2018.
