Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase made headlines for his scuffle with Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey during their Week 11 game on Sunday. The incident took place in the fourth quarter, which led to Ramsey's ejection after he threw a punch at Chase.

After the game, which ended in a 34-12 win for Pittsburgh, Ramsey said that Chase spat on him, which led to the CB taking a swipe at the Bengals star. Although Chase denied spitting at Ramsey, on-field cameras appeared to show that the Bengals WR did, in fact, spit on Ramsey.

When analyst and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe caught wind of Chase allegedly spitting at Ramsey, he slammed the Bengals star.

"That is the lowest thing you can do," Sharpe said on his "Nightcap" show on Sunday. "Ocho, he (Chase) spit on that man, and he lied. And Jalen Ramsey said, 'he spit on me.' So it's up after that F football, after that point."

Sharpe also said Chase's act was "disrespectful" to another person of color.

"Do you know how disrespectful, how degrading that is as a black man," Sharpe said. "Chase, you know the history in Louisiana, in the south. That's what they used to do to your grandpa, your great grandpa, your great grandma when they was trying to integrate the schools. Come on, Chase! We gotta be better than that.

"We can't do that to each other. I get it. Yeah, we get upset, yeah, we get angry. But come on, we gotta do better than that when it comes to each other."

Chase finished the game with 30 yards on three receptions. Meanwhile, Ramsey logged four combined tackles before his ejection.

After his early exit from the game, Jalen Ramsey said he had verbal exchanges with Ja'Marr Chase during the contest, but threw a punch only after the Bengals WR spat on him.

“He (Chase) spit on me, so it’s up,” Ramsey said, via the New York Post. “I don’t give a f*ck about football after that, respectfully. … The first little thing the play before he tried to, like, crack block me or whatever, you know. I got up off that, and then we got up talking s*it or whatever.

“He snatched my mouthpiece off my face mask, and that’s when I pushed his face mask. That was just a little scuffle. But the refs told us after, ‘Hey, y’all chill. No more of this.’ Cool,”
“The next play, same s*it. We was talking s*i, which I’m cool with. Then, as soon as he spit, it was f*ck that. I ain’t gonna tolerate that part of it for sure. I’m sure the NFL, they’ll do their due diligence. They got 100 cameras out there. They can investigate. They can see everything I just told y’all is facts.”

Ja'Marr Chase, who signed a blockbuster four-year, $160 million extension at Cincinnati in the offseason, is expected to be hear a decicion from the NFL on his incident with Ramsey later on Monday.
