Jerry Jones and his Cowboys are finally out of wonderland after losing 34-26 to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night. This has left the Dak Prescott-led franchise staring at an almost impossible path to the playoffs.
After the loss, major criticism was directed towards the ownership. Fans believe that Jones and his son, Stephen Jones, face no real threat despite repeated failures over the years. However, the Cowboys EVP pushed back on this narrative during an appearance on '105.3 The Fan' today.
“We’ve got to continue to work at it. There are consequences because we pay in our own ways,” Stephen said. “Obviously it’s an interesting dynamic in terms of the fact that we own the team and we’re involved, but we think overall that’s been a good thing.”

For Brian Schottenheimer's men to even sniff the playoffs, the Philadelphia Eagles would need to lose all three remaining games, with two of them against the struggling Washington Commanders.
Jerry Jones voices major frustration after Cowboys lose to Vikings
Jerry Jones was visibly frustrated following the Cowboys’ loss to the Vikings. Playoffs seem a distant dream now, despite the team showing promise in recent weeks. According to The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Jones left his suite at AT&T Stadium and headed straight to the locker room.
“Gotta be the earliest I’ve ever seen him do that,” Machota tweeted.
Stephen Jones followed suit and also exited early. After the loss, Jones didn’t hide his frustration when speaking to reporters.
“We certainly didn’t think we’d be here in this kind of shape with three games to go,” Jones admitted. “It’s very disappointing… I thought we could come out here and make a better accounting of ourselves.”
The Cowboys now sit at 6-7-1, and their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread.
