Belichick and Hudson have dated since 2023. According to Glamour, the two first met on a flight in 2021, and remained friends until Belichick’s breakup with Linda Holliday in 2022.

The couple has remained an item during Belichick's transition from the NFL to collegiate football. He's currently 4-6 in his first season coaching the Tar Heels and is preparing for a rivalry game against the Duke Blue Devils.

Bill Belichick rebuffs NFL return rumors

Bill Belichick started coaching in the NFL in the 1970s. He started out as a special assistant with the Baltimore Colts, served as the New York Giants' defensive coordinator in the 1980s, and got his first head coaching role in the league with the Cleveland Browns in the 1990s.

Belichick enjoyed his most successful period when he coached the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl wins over two decades. He and the Patriots parted ways after the 2023 season, and he has not coached in the NFL since.

Recently, Belichick was linked with a return to the league as the new head coach of the New York Giants. Those links occurred after the Giants fired Brian Daboll. However, Belichick was quick to refute the links and declare his commitment to the Tar Heels.

Bill Belichick posted a lengthy message on Instagram. He wrote:

“I have great respect and genuinely care for the New York Giants organization and both the Mara and Tisch families. The New York Giants played an important role in my life and in my coaching journey. It was a privilege for me to work for the Mara family and be a member of Coach Parcells’ staff for over a decade."

He continued,

"However, despite circulating rumors, I have not and will not pursue any NFL head coaching vacancies. Since arriving in Chapel Hill, my commitment to the UNC Football program has not wavered. We have tremendous support from the university, our alumni, and the entire Carolina community."

He concluded,

"My focus remains solely on continuing to improve this team, develop our players, and build a program that makes Tar Heel fans proud. We're on to Wake Forest.”

The Giants can now proceed with other available candidates for the vacant HC position.
