Journalist Skip Bayless has lambasted Micah Parsons after the Green Bay Packers shocklingly lost 16-13 to the Carolina Panthers. It was a disappointing result for Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday as they suffered a 16-13 upset at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. The Packers entered the game as 13.5-point favorites, but were shocked by the Panthers, who have been impressive recently.

The Panthers won the game with a walk-off field goal from Ryan Fitzgerald after the Packers had tied it with less than three minutes to go in the game. The shocking result has led veteran analyst Skip Bayless to fire some shots at Parsons and the rest of the Packers team.

“WHAT A BOOT BY CAROLINA'S FITZGERALD THROUGH THE WIND AT GREEN BAY 49 YARDS FOR THE WIN AT THE BUZZER OVER MICAH'S INVINCIBLE PACKERS, TWO-TD FAVORITES,” Bayless wrote.

In his media availability on Wednesday, Micah Parsons made it known that he won't be underestimating the Panthers, noting it's not a “trap game” for the Packers. However, the team has gone on to suffer an upset at home, marking their second loss of the season.

“This team is a very good team,” Parsons said. “I wouldn't consider this a trap game, even with Philly next week. This is just all about us and how we prepare. And just we can't beat ourselves.”

“The two games we tied and lost, we beat ourselves. Missed at the end of the game, and we just didn't play good enough defensively against Dallas. So those are all things we can look forward to do this week is play good on defense for four quarters.”

Limiting Bryce Young didn't help Micah Parsons and the Packers

Micah Parsons reiterated how important it was for the Packers' defense to stop Bryce Young at Lambeau Field. They were able to do just that, limiting him to just 102 yards with no touchdowns. However, this wasn't enough to earn the team the needed victory in the encounter.

“We've got to make it as hard as possible for him,” Parsons told Sports Illustrated. “I have a good history with Bryce, and I understand he’s an elite competitor. He’s one of them Bama guys
“I know how he prepares, and I know how he’s going to come in and try to exploit our team. … When he’s on, he’s on, and we don’t want to see that happen, so we got to get after the quarterback. But most importantly, we got to stop the run.”

The Packers face a tough challenge next week as they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Lambeau Field. They've already received the Super Bowl hype with their performance this season, and Micah Parsons and the rest of the team will look to live up to the billing against the defending champion.
