Sunday was a bittersweet day for Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He made his NFL debut with the Browns after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. While he was on the field, burglars broke into Sanders' home and stole $200,000 in property.On Wednesday, Sanders spoke to reporters after he was announced as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Browns' reporter, Mary Kay Cabot, reported that Sanders gave details at what prized possessions weren't stolen during the robbery. "#Browns Shedeur Sanders said none of his jewelry got stolen in the break-in," Mary Kay Cabot reported.Medina County Sheriff's Office Captain Eric Bors, told Cleveland's 3News that Sanders' designer clothes and accessories were stolen from his residence. Security cameras at the quarterback's home reportedly showed the three masked burglars entering his home through a door that happened to not be secured at the time. The burglars spent over ten minutes in the residence before leaving with over $200,000 in property and exiting in a car parked down the street from the quarterback's home. Shedeur Sanders confident ahead of 1st NFL startAfter addressing the recent burglary of his home, quarterback Shedeur Sanders expressed his confidence ahead of his first NFL start this coming weekend. The 23-year-old threw for just 47 yards and rushed for 16 yards after entering Sunday's game. “I feel like I’m the guy, I know I’m the guy,” Sanders told reporters.Sanders will be tasked with helping the 2-8 Cleveland Browns find success against another 2-8 team, the Las Vegas Raiders on the road this Sunday. After his collegiate career at Colorado ended, Sanders was expected to be a top draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The quarterback chose not to participate in the NFL Combine and characters issues concerned some NFL teams, causing him to drop to the third day of the NFL Draft.The Cleveland Browns drafted Dillon Gabriel in the third-round of the draft. The following day, the Browns drafted Shedeur Sanders in the fifth-round with the 144th overall draft pick.
