It was a disappointing day for Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns as they fell to a 31-3 loss to the Chicago Bears in the Week 15 game at Soldier Field. The Bears pulled an impressive defensive performance that limited the Browns to zero touchdowns in Chicago. However, the Browns almost got one from a pass by Sanders. The quarterback connected with Jerry Jeudy near the end zone from 25 yards, but the ball was ripped out of the wide receiver’s hand before taking full control by Jaylon Johnson, denying a touchdown. Sanders expressed his feelings on the play after the game.“It is what it is,” Sanders said in his postgame press conference. “I'm not one to ever kick somebody down when they're down. He understands that it's a big play, and I'm sure he's hard on himself. So, there's no need for me to be extra and do that."Shedeur Sanders completed 18 of 35 passes for 177 yards with three interceptions and was sacked five times against the Bears on Sunday. In his postgame interview, the quarterback commended the Bears’ defense while disclosing his feelings about playing against them.“They just had a great defensive scheme, and I enjoy playing against them," Sanders said. "I enjoy playing in that because it was definitely a little challenge. So, I look forward to learning from that and look forward to understanding exactly how things were on film and just be able to learn from it.”Shedeur Sanders on building a connection with his teammatesShedeur Sanders has spoken on building a connection with his teammates, especially the wide receivers, since he was named the starting quarterback. Following the loss to the Bears, he was questioned about how much he's starting to find the connection on the field.“Everything, every rep, everything is something to build off of,” Sanders said in the post-match presser. “It's something that you have to continue to work at and learn and be able to understand.“With each game, understand the different speeds, understand, talking to them about, we gotta play a little faster right here. So it's just a lot of different variables you have to go into each game with. So you gotta learn from them.”It could be said that this was Shedeur Sanders’ worst performance since his debut against the Baltimore Ravens. Nonetheless, the quarterback noted that he's the same person regardless of the result. He will look to play better when the Browns come up against the Buffalo Bills next week.
