Shedeur Sanders drops 3-word message ahead of starting debut vs. Raiders as Dillon Gabriel battles concussion 

After sitting on the bench for half the season, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders finally made his debut for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday against the Ravens. He took to the field in the second half after QB1 Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion.

With Gabriel dealing with his concussion and Deshaun Watson still rehabilitating from his injury, Shedeur Sanders is expected to take over as the starting quarterback in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie shared a three-word message on social media ahead of his potential first game as the QB1 of the team.

On Sunday, Shedeur failed to help the Browns emerge victorious over the Ravens. The rookie quarterback completed four of 16 passes for 47 yards and no touchdowns while throwing one interception on the field. They ended up losing with a 16-23 final score at home.

After the game, Shedeur Sanders shared his honest thoughts about his debut performance for his team.

"I don't think I played good," Sanders said as per ESPN. "I don't think I played good at all. I think there's a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable with even throwing routes with (WRs) Jerry (Jeudy) and throwing routes with all those guys.

"I think that was my first ball to him all year. But other than that, I just think overall, we just got to go next week and understand, so that we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do."

Skip Bayless praises Shedeur Sanders during his debut against the Ravens

Despite the loss, Skip Bayless said that he saw potential in Coach Prime's son. In a video he shared on X, he highlighted some of the brilliance in Shedeur Sanders' play against the Ravens.

"I can defend what I saw, I saw flashes of brilliance," Bayless said. "I saw flashes of Shedeur, who should have been starting from the start of this year in Cleveland. He is so much better, trust me.

"But if Shedeur had been given this job, which he should have been given from the start, this team, this defense, and this weaponry, the veteran weapons Njoku and Jeudy, especially with a little blend of Fannin, they would have lit up for Shedeur. ...This team would have thought it had a much better shot at winning with Shedeur from the start."

The Browns are 2-8 with a three-game losing streak after the loss to the Ravens in Week 11. They are scheduled to face the Raiders on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
