He struggled to get anything going, as Baltimore’s defense swarmed him relentlessly. The rookie didn’t sugarcoat his performance.“I don’t think I played good,” Sanders told reporters after Sunday's game. “I don’t think I played good at all. I think there’s a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable even throwing routes with Jerry and throwing routes with all those guys. So I think that was my first ball to him all year.”Despite the rough outing, Sanders earned respect in the locker room. Myles Garrett expressed his support for Sanders and asked him not to pin the loss on himself. The Browns pass rusher also told him not to get discouraged by a few drives.Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski addressed Sanders' role in the postgame presser. He confirmed that Gabriel remains “the starter when he is healthy” and expects him to reclaim the job once he passes concussion protocol. Should Gabriel miss Sunday's game, Sanders is expected to earn his first career start against the Raiders.
