Justin Jefferson didn’t hide his frustration on Sunday. The wide receiver spoke after another stalled offensive performance pushed Minnesota into a downward spiral with J.J. McCarthy guiding the attack.
The Vikings didn't gain much after halftime of the 23-6 defeat to the Green Bay at Lambeau Field. The Packers defense smothered the quarterback and did not allow any attempt at a comeback.
"It's frustrating to be up here and say the same things every single week," Jefferson said, via The Minnesota Star Tribune. "You say the same things, expecting for something to change the following weekend, and we're still in the same spot. We just got to figure it out, see the things that we need to change and get better."

Minnesota offense sputters as issues mount around J.J. McCarthy

J.J. McCarthy has started six NFL games. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 87 yards and two interceptions in the fourth quarter on Sunday versus the Packers. He continued a trend of turnovers that has plagued Minnesota’s passing game recently.
The Vikings finished with 145 total yards and were dominated after halftime. They gained just four yards and allowed five sacks as Green Bay repeatedly collapsed the pocket. The offensive line played together at full strength for the first time this season. However, the team still lost ground when Donovan Jackson and Christian Darrisaw exited with ankle injuries.
Green Bay leaned heavily on the ground game, running 42 times and controlling possession for more than 30 minutes.
Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell said the team’s problems extend beyond the quarterback position.
"The margin of error is clearly pretty razor thin right now," O'Connell said, via The Minnesota Star Tribune. "But what we can't do is lose the turnover battle three to nothing, significantly lose the field position battle, and then have negative plays on offense that gives you really no chance against better defenses in the league."
The Vikings are preparing to face Seattle, with questions mounting about how long the growing pains around McCarthy can continue while the season slips away.
