Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara gets surprise 40th b'day shoutout from Simone Ashley 71 days after ‘Bridgerton’ star's NFL game debut with singer

New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara, received a sweet 40th birthday message from "Bridgerton" actress Simone Ashley on Instagram on Sunday.

Ashley shared a pair of mirror selfies with Ciara from a dressing room. Ciara was in a sleeveless printed outfit, while Ashley stood beside her in a chic black crop top and jeans.

“Happy birthday C!!! Thank you for your kindness and generous spirit.❤️❤️❤️,” Ashley wrote.

Ciara reposted it and added a message for her.

“You’re the sweetest ❤️❤️❤️,” Ciara wrote.

The Grammy Award winning singer was born on Oct. 25, 1985, in Fort Hood, Texas.

Ashley's shoutout came 71 days after attending her first NFL game on Aug. 16. She watched a Giants preseason game with Ciara in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The British actress shared pictures from game day with Ciara.

"First time at an American football game!! Good vibes…all the questions.🤔🏈 Thank you for bringing me along C," Ashley wrote on Instagram.

Ashley wore a buttery yellow Diesel matching set with sheer details at the hem. Meanwhile, Ciara was in Wilson's No. 3 jersey. The two met while working on the upcoming film "The Devil Wears Prada 2."

Ciara plays a fashion-forward executive, while Ashley plays the lead role.

The movie is set to release on May 1, with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci all returning.

Ciara sends special message for Russell Wilson as singer enters 40s club

Ciara turned 40 on Saturday and took a moment to thank her husband, Russell Wilson. She posted birthday photos on Instagram, including a sweet one of them posing close together.

“Baby thank you for always making me feel on top of the world and for throwing the best surprise birthday party! You always make every moment for me, big or small, feel special and important! You are the best!! I love you soooooo much," Ciara wrote on Monday.

Her Instagram post also gave fans a peek into the party. Some of the guests included NFL players Jameis Winston, Malik Nabers and Brian Burns II. Actress La La Anthony was also there along with businessman Michael Rubin and his wife, Camille Fishel.

Ciara and Wilson got married in a private ceremony at Peckforton Castle in England on July 6, 2016. They have three children together: Sienna Princess, Win Harrison and Amora Princess.

Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
