Russell Wilson drops cryptic message as Giants hand Jaxson Dart starting QB role

Jaxson Dart will be the starting quarterback for the New York Giants this weekend, with current starter Russell Wilson benched after three games, according to reports on Tuesday. Perhaps in response, Wilson dropped a message on Instagram.

Wilson posted a Bible verse from the Book of Ephesians that shows that he believes that a higher power will help him with the next steps, whatever they may be.

Wilson was brought into New York as a potential savior after years of struggles. He had the credibility and experience to help the team improve its offense before passing the reins on to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart when ready.

However, Wilson struggled in the Giants' season-opening loss to the Washington Commanders. He played one of the games of his career in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, and that performance gave some hope that Wilson would be able to help the Giants.

But in losing their home opener to the previously winless Kansas City Chiefs, Wilson again struggled. He threw for 160 yards with no touchdowns. By then, the fans had turned against Wilson, audibly calling for Dart. Now, the fans have got their way.

Russell Wilson's appearance for the New York Giants on Sunday did not go his way, with the fans booing the former Super Bowl winner at times. After the game, Giants coach Brian Daboll said the following about the boos:

"Look, I would be booing, too, to be honest with you, in terms of not being good enough, not scoring, not finishing. I understand that. That's the nature of it. We got to do better."

Daboll saw the frustration of the fans. They want an offense that is winning games, not struggling to score touchdowns. They worked out that this would not happen with Wilson, and a change was needed.

Now, the change has happened, and fans will hope that Jaxson Dart can begin to lead to an improvement for the New York Giants.
