George Pickens' Dallas Cowboys suffered a 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 14 on Thursday night. Cowboys wideout Pickens struggled to have much of an impact in the game, finishing with 37 yards on five receptions. After the game, former NFL wideout Richard Sherman called out Pickens for his "unacceptable" outing against Detroit."George Pickens, throughout the game, especially late in the game, just looked uninterested in playing football," Sherman said on "Amazon Prime Video's" broadcast. "And that's what you can't have if you're going to be a superstar, if you want to be the best receiver in the National Football League, you can never be disengaged. Doesn't matter if the game is going your way or not going your way. You can't just disappear in these games, or else you're not going to have impact."You're the guy," Sherman said. "CeeDee Lamb is not in this game ... you can't beat the guy and half-a*s it. I'm sorry, that's just you can't. It's unacceptable.Sherman also discussed why the Cowboys might not choose to offer Pickens a big-money extension."And if you're Dallas Cowboys, you're looking at him and you're looking to pay him big time receiver money, $40 million you got to look at this tape and say, 'Hey, is this a guy we can trust paying $40 million to show up, regardless of circumstance?' I don't know."Pickens has been a revelation for the Cowboys since joining them in the offseason. He has racked up 1,179 yards and eight touchdowns on 78 receptions.Although the Cowboys have reportedly been interested in offering Pickens a lucrative contract, his performance against the Lions may potentially influence the team's decision.George Pickens' Cowboys will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL seasonDallas Cowboys WR George Pickens - Source: GettyGeorge Pickens' Cowboys (6-6-1) will face the Minnesota Vikings (4-8) in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season on Dec. 14.
