Peyton Manning takes cheeky dig at Brock Bowers after revealing star TE's gf Cameron once took his class at Tennessee

Brock Bowers' girlfriend, Cameron Newell, has a longtime connection with Peyton Manning. It wasn't known by the public until the Hall of Fame quarterback revealed it on Monday. Peyton and his brother, Eli, talked about how the Broncos legend first met the tight end during the Las Vegas-Denver matchup last year.

Peyton shared how he teased Bowers for attending Georgia, as he dominated the Bulldogs during his time with Tennessee. The retired quarterback also described Newell as "very smart" for going to Tennessee.

“I’d never met him before," Manning said, via the "ManningCast." "But he walked up to me, and I said, ‘Bowers, you went to Georgia, so I know you couldn’t be that smart. But your girlfriend went to Tennessee. So, you've got to be pretty smart.' ... So, good for him for figuring it out."

Eli had follow-up questions to Peyton's remarks.

“She’s smart because she’s in your class? Why is that obvious?" Eli said.

Peyton said that it was a "tough class" and that Newell's decision to attend Tennessee made her worthy to be called "smart."

“An easy A, but a tough class," Peyton said.

Former U.S. President George W. Bush made a guest appearance on "Manningcast" on Monday. Peyton Manning confronted Bush for sidelining him during a White House dinner in May 2002, which was also attended by Queen Elizabeth II.

"(Peyton's wife) Ashley sat at a table with you, the queen, (late golfer) Arnold Palmer, (broadcaster) Jim Nantz," Manning said. "Her table was stacked. I was in the back corner. My question, Mr. President: Were you worried I would embarrass the United States in front of the Queen of England?"

Bush sarcastically confirmed that he was scared of Manning embracing him in front of the queen.

“Yes. Yeah, I was. Plus, I was thrilled to have a beautiful woman at the table,” the former president said, referring to Peyton’s wife. "(Was) worried you were going to dribble on your tux."
