Patrick Mahomes seemingly takes shots at Andy Reid amid Chiefs' struggles ahead of Colts game

Patrick Mahomes seemingly took a shot at Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid ahead of their Week 12 showdown against the Indianapolis Colts. During Friday's press conference, the three-time Super Bowl champion had high praise for Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.

Mahomes said that Anarumo is not "stuck in his ways of how he calls a game." This seemingly looked like a jab at Andy Reid's play-calling skills, which have been far from impressive in the past few games.

"Coach Anarumo is a great defensive coordinator, a great coach, and he has this stuff," Mahomes said. "But I think what makes him such a great DC is he tailors his scheme to the team. He wants to go with their strengths and give their guys the best position to succeed.

Damien Woody compares Patrick Mahomes' 2025 struggles with the Chiefs to the end of Tom Brady's Patriots era

Former Patriots lineman Damien Woody believes that the Chiefs' struggles have a haunting resemblance to what his former team faced during the end of Tom Brady's era.

On ESPN's "Get Up", Woody highlighted how the three-time Super Bowl champion is slowly losing his grip as an elite quarterback in the league. He also said that other franchises have started to lose their fear of facing the Chiefs.

"I think the aura is gone in Kansas City," Woody said. "I really do. I think this is a team where, it's kind of like the New England from the past. Where in New England, the battle was mental going up against the team. But I think now these teams, going into the game was like, the hell with Kansas City."
