Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jourdan Lewis watched his former college team, the Michigan Wolverines, battle it out with archrivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, on Saturday. The 2025 rivalry week included these two teams, who have no love lost for each other.

Lewis watched the game and even accused the Buckeyes of being cheaters on social media. After missing last week's game due to injury, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith returned to the field to face the Wolverines in the Buckeyes' biggest game of the season. At 11:44 in the second quarter, quarterback Julian Sayin connected with Smith for a 35-yard touchdown to extend the Buckeyes' lead to 10-6.

Lewis reacted to that play on social media, writing a three-word message against Ohio State.

Just like Jourdan Lewis, more fans noticed that the ball took a slight bobble in Smith's arms before he crossed the goal line and then went out of bounds in the end zone. While some said the play should have ended in a fumble, the referees confirmed the touchdown.

The Buckeyes improved to 12-0 and gave the Wolverines their third loss of the season (9-3) behind a solid performance from Sayin. The quarterback went 19 of 26 for 233 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.

Jeremiah Smith recorded three receptions for 40 yards and one touchdown. Fellow wide receiver Carnell Tate led the way with five receptions, 82 yards and on touchdown. The Wolverines scored just nine points after collecting 163 total yards.

Jourdan Lewis spent four seasons with the Wolverines, recording 135 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and six interceptions for 50 yards and one touchdown. He has been in the NFL since 2017, spending his first eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of this season.

Revisiting Jourdan Lewis' season with Jacksonville

Jourdan Lewis has not been able to play every game with the 7-4 Jacksonville Jaguars, but he has made a solid impact on the team. In eight games, the veteran has recorded 30 tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions for six yards and eight passes defended.

Lewis' departure from the Cowboys was considered a big factor in the team's slow start to the season, but Dallas appears to have found its pace on that side of the ball.

Lewis and Co. will visit the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, hoping to secure another win to get closer to the Indianapolis Colts in the race for the AFC South division title.
