Tom Brady's Las Vegas Raiders had their Super Bowl moment in Week 1, defeating Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots. However, the price for that has been an otherwise nightmarish season. After months of struggle, consequences are starting to arrive, with offensive coordinator Chip Kelly getting the axe.
In a Wednesday New York Times report, NFL insider Dianna Russini suggested that Brady's optimism has turned into disappointment. The disappointment and frustration went beyond the offense.
"Quarterbacks coach Greg Olson has taken over as the offensive coordinator in Las Vegas after the team fired Chip Kelly on Sunday," she wrote.
I’m told minority owner Tom Brady was a big advocate of bringing in Kelly to run the offense, and he has shared with some people close to him his disappointment in the team’s overall performance. His frustrations go beyond the offense, too."

The Raiders are 2-9 and are coming off perhaps their most disappointing loss of the season against rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders in his first start. Buried at the bottom of the AFC West, the franchise has nowhere to go but look toward the NFL Draft for a fresh start.
Geno Smith leads the NFL in interceptions heading into Week 13, and Pete Carroll's defense has been far from advertised, with the 23rd-best scoring defense in the NFL. Put simply, there is no shortage of reasons for disappointment for fans or the former quarterback of the New England Patriots.
Tom Brady's Raiders prepare for brutal season-ending gauntlet

Things haven't been going well for the Las Vegas Raiders, and the end of the season is the only light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, it is likely to get worse before it gets better.
The Raiders face just one sub-.500 team for the rest of the season. The team still has yet to face the Super Bowl champion and NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles. They also must face the nearly AFC-leading Denver Broncos and the 6-5 Houston Texans.
To conclude the year, the Raiders will face the Kansas City Chiefs, who have already beaten the team 31-0. One fleeting source of hope for a win could come against the New York Giants on Dec. 28.
Otherwise, the Raiders could finish with a 2-15 record and a leading chance for the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Tom Brady didn't have any experience in that spot on the gridiron, but he might not have to wait long as a minority owner.
