Stephen A. Smith had some harsh words for the Philadelphia Eagles after their 22-19 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. However, no one seemed interested in listening to him despite the presumed validity of his points. On an episode of his eponymous show on Tuesday, the veteran sportscaster said:"They're just not who they used to be. Something's missing. I don't know whether it's arrogance. I don't know whether it's taking stuff for granted. I don't know whether it's predictability on the offensive side of the ball. I don't know whether it's Kevin Patullo, which is why folks egged his house."Instead of agreement, however, he was met with ridicule and disdain:Scott Robinson @ScottRo14758845LINK@stephenasmith How profound. Smith wants Shedeur Sanders to leave BrownsEarlier in the day, Stephen A. Smith also shared his thoughts on Shedeur Sanders' future in the NFL on ESPN's "First Take". In the wake of the Cleveland Browns taking him out of a two-point attempt against the Tennessee Titans, he was blunt about what had to happen with the rookie quarterback for him to progress in his career:“I don’t want him in Cleveland. I don’t think that the coach there wants him there. There’s no excuse.”He continued:“What the hell is that about? You have nothing to lose. Your goal is to do everything that you can to find out what this kid is made of in every situation imaginable because you’re not going anywhere this year.”The criticism did not end there, however. He then took shots at Kevin Stefanski for attempting to hamper Sanders' development, even with nothing to play for in the next four games:“Why would you take him out? Especially when you were looking to potentially throw the football. You want your quarterback in there, especially when he’s passed for 300 yards in the game for crying out loud. I don’t know what the hell Kevin Stefanski is doing.“It’s so inexplicable to see how he’s treated Shedeur Sanders. First, you throw him in the game with no reps whatsoever. You do nothing to prepare him for when he has to come in the game as a starter. Then finally, you hesitate to name him QB1. It’s like pulling teeth.“The Browns will next visit the Chicago Bears this Sunday. That game kicks off at 1 pm ET on Fox.
